Call for Entry: PHOTOcentric 2019

Application for PHOTOcentric 2019 juried photography exhibition is now open! To receive the early entry discount make sure to submit your photographs on or before Tuesday, August 9.

Call for Entry:
Open to amateurs and professionals in all photographic mediums
$40 entry fee for 5 images Early Discount — Deadline August 9
$50 entry fee for 5 images — Deadline September 6
$10 for each additional image

Call for Artists & Makers, Deadline August 16

All work offered must be original and made in the Mid-Hudson region.Work should be made by hand or with the use of artists’ tools, whether it is a potter’s wheel or hi-tech printer, and should be made with the artist’s individual vision in mind.  Must be a member of Arts Mid-Hudson to participate. Funding Available for Arts and Cultural Activities Dutchess, Orange and Ulster Counties


Arts Mid-­Hudson announces the Decentralization Grant Program, a funding program with over $100,000 in funds to support the arts in Dutchess, Orange, and Ulster Counties. This funding is available to nonprofit organizations, individuals artists, libraries, and municipalities for arts activities in 2020. Eligible projects may include, but are not limited to: exhibits, performances, concerts, festivals, workshops, screenings, readings, cultural programming, artist-­initiated projects, and hands-on art workshops both in- and out-of-school. The deadline to apply is September 25, 2019. Information sessions begin on July 25.

The Decentralization Grant Program is a re-grant program of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) and is designed to support community-based arts activities in an effort to make quality arts programming available and to support local cultural expression. Call for Small Works

We invite Arts Mid-Hudson members to participate in our annual Members’ Show, held at Arts Mid-Hudson’s Gallery in Poughkeepsie. This year’s theme is Small Works.

2-D or 3-D hanging artwork that does not exceed 15 inches in any dimension. If you would like to submit a sculptural piece to be displayed on a podium, please contact by Monday, July 29 with an image of your work, title, medium, and size. Sculptures will be accepted on a first come first serve basis until no more space is available. (more…)

CALL FOR ARTISTS! Inside Small: small works exhibit

Stable Art Gallery, Ridgewood, New Jersey

Open to all artists age 18 and over in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
All two-dimensional artwork is welcome including painting, drawing, photography, fiber, metal, clay, collage and printmaking. Artwork must not exceed 10” x 10” (including frame if applicable). Artwork weight limited to 10 lbs.

Artwork must have been completed within the past three years. Artwork MUST be ready to hang. All artwork must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit with no exceptions.

Deadline is Friday, July 19, 2019.

Artists may submit a maximum of three (3) entries for consideration. No entry fee.

Hudson Valley MOCA Open Call for Members’ Juried Exhibition

Hudson Valley MOCA’s 1st Annual Juried Member Exhibition is an opportunity to showcase a variety of perspectives and practices within the contemporary visual arts. Juried by Legacy Russell, Associate Curator of Exhibitions at The Studio Museum in Harlem, this exhibition will unite a multitude of voices, both local and national, to explore our contemporary moment and the unique work created within it.
