The Tri-State Relief Fund to Support Non-Salaried

The Tri-State Relief Fund to Support Non-Salaried Workers in the Visual Arts opens its application cycle tomorrow, June 2nd.

The program, established by The Willem de Kooning Foundation, the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation, Teiger Foundation, and the Cy Twombly Foundation, is providing financial assistance to freelance, contract, or non-salaried archivists, art handlers, artist/fine art photographer’s assistants, cataloguers, database specialists, digital assets specialists, image scanners/digitizers, and registrars who have experienced financial hardship as a direct result of COVID-19.
The next application cycle opens next Tuesday, June 2 and closes on Wednesday, June 3.

Shown here are 3 works by @meghanspiro The first image is “La Rose Sous Les Boulets" (The Rose of No Man’s Land), Graphite and Oil “wash” on Canvas Paper, 9” x 11”. La Rose Sous Les Boulets" references a song honoring the nurses in the Red Cross during WWI in 1918, the same year as the Spanish Flu pandemic. Spiro’s work is inspired by a photo posted by @gracelandtattoo in honor of the nurses and health care professionals who bravely care for so many sick and dying from this pandemic.
