California Dreamin’ celebrates the music of southern California in the ’60s and ’70s, including songs by Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys, The Mamas and Papas, Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Eagles, Jackson Browne and more. New York duo Pete and Maura Kennedy have traversed a broad musical landscape, surveying power pop, acoustic songwriting, organic rock rooted in their early days in Austin, and a Byrds-inspired jangle that drew the attention of Roger McGuinn, Steve Earle, and most notably Nanci Griffith.
