Howland Cultural Center
477 Main Street, Beacon
Please join the Howland Cultural Center as they celebrate their 40th Anniversary on May 15, 2019 at The Roundhouse in Beacon. It’s no secret that so much of what makes the Howland Chamber Music Circle a success is due to our unique venue. The Howland Cultural Center is revered by the extraordinary musicians who play for us, as well as by you, the audience members who have so generously allowed our series to thrive.
We’re so wedded to this beautiful building that many think our two organizations are one and the same. In fact, the Howland Cultural Center is a distinct organization with its own board, budget, staff and events. It is vital for all of us who appreciate the Center to help support it. Built in 1872, and known originally as The Howland Circulating Library, this structure needs support from all of us. We encourage you to lend your support by attending their Gala event on May 15th. Tickets can be purchased directly online at howland40.brownpapertickets.com. For those curious to know more about the history of the building–listed on the National Register of Historic places in 1976, the first such listing in Beacon–please click here to read more on their website.
