Classics for Kids: Instrument Discovery

Saturday, September 9th
3 – 4pm

Howland Cultural Center
477 Main Street

The Howland Chamber Music Circle and the Howland Cultural Center are excited to present our annual FREE “Instrument Discovery” Children’s Concert.

The program will begin with an “instrument petting zoo” where students can handle various instruments. This will be followed by performances by area musicians demonstrating many of the instruments.

The program is appropriate for children of all ages, especially those who are looking to choose an instrument to study in school.

This is a FREE program, however due to the limited space we ask that you make reservations at http://bit.ly/2fBB3fK.

Featured performers include:

  • Naomi Benecasa, cello
  • Maoz Ezra, classical guitar
  • Carl Gutowski, flute
  • Gwen Laster/New MUSE 4TET, string quartet
  • Rhema Mangus, french horn
  • Akiko Sasaki, piano

Refreshments will be served! This concert is funded, in part, by a Dutchess Partners in the Arts grant through Arts Mid-Hudson.
