Howland Cultural Center
477 Main Street, Beacon
A seven-week summer exhibition of fine arts photography by twenty members of the Beacon Photography Group will take place at the Howland Cultural Center in Beacon from June 8 through July 28, 2019. The photographers will present a variety of extraordinary views of life as seen from their perceptive eyes.
The Beacon Photography Group was founded in 2013 after several years in which photographers would communicate online to share their photos, receive feedback and support. As the number of interested photographers grew, it became apparent that there was a major need to promote an organization giving artists an opportunity to meet and greet and collectively expand their interests in photography. The group has presently grown to over 400 members, twenty of whom will be exhibiting in the June-July show: Markie Baylash, Kevin Bertholf, Dan Calabrese, Randy Calderone, Tom Conroy, Jackie Corley, Ross Corsair, Jan Dolan, Larry Fitzpatrick, Stephanie Fogarty, Cindy Gould, Julie Hamer-Conroy, Jake Holmes, Philomena Kierman, Scott Lerman, Thea Levor, Paul Markwaller, Thomas Orlando, Rosemary Rednour and Darlene Resling. Members of the Beacon Photography Group have exhibited their work in fine art galleries, libraries, museums, and various venues throughout the Hudson Valley and the Tri-State area. The art gallery will be open to the public every Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 PM The Howland Cultural Center is located at the east end of Main Street (477) in Beacon.
