About Linda T. Hubbard

BeaconArts is proud to honor the remarkable Linda T. Hubbard with its annual Beacon Arts Award. In addition to being one of the founding members of BeaconArts and President (2008 – 2012), Linda has worked tirelessly to promote Beacon and the arts for the past 10 years.  Through her various affiliations and as a partner at RiverWinds Gallery, Linda has championed hundreds if not thousands of Hudson Valley artists, as well as the city of Beacon as an arts and cultural destination.

Since her retirement from IBM, Linda has served on the Dutchess County Tourism Advisory Committee, and founded and chaired Art Along the Hudson, a collaborative group whose mission is to raise arts awareness in the Hudson Valley. Art Along the Hudson was the 2011 recipient of the Business Excellence Award for Tourism from the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation. She is also Past President of the Hudson Valley Artisans Guild and past member of the Mill Street Loft Board.

An artist herself, Linda is a member of Arts MidHudson (formerly Dutchess County Arts Council), the Mid-Hudson Photo Club, and the Dutchess Professional Photographers Association.

In 2009, Linda received the “Special Citation” Award from the Dutchess County Executive for all her contributions to the arts community in the Hudson Valley.  On February 27 it is BeaconArts’ great privilege to honor her for all she has done on behalf of Beacon and our local art community.
