Application Guidelines

This year, we have increased our funding and will make awards of $5,000 each to twenty artists and writers. Additionally, we will name ten award finalists.

Our awards offer unrestricted cash, and recipients can use the funds as they see fit.

Our program is an award program that rewards excellence in a creative field (note that this is different from a grant program, in which the application is focused on a proposal for new work).

Our selection process is focused almost entirely on the strength of the submitted portfolio. (more…)

Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation’s Jazz Touring Network is a presenter-based membership program that provides support for professional development opportunities and performance fee subsidies for its participants. The primary objective of the Jazz Touring Network is ensuring vibrant and diverse jazz presenting in the mid-Atlantic region while simultaneously increasing the number of nonprofit venues in the mid-Atlantic region that present jazz on a regular basis, particularly in communities underserved by the arts (defined for the purposes of this program as populations whose opportunities to experience the arts are limited by geography, ethnicity, age, economics, or disability).  (more…)
