Piano keys are coming to Beacon NY this Fall! Pianos and related art works will be placed in a number of public locations this September-October. This is a community participation project of BeaconArts. Start practicing now to perform for your friends and neighbors or put together your own flash mob concert!

Does size matter? How does size limitation impact an artist’s style and expression? Artists are asked to recalibrate their individuality and explore new possibilities through their small works. The Volition Gallery announces its ‘Surrender to Small’: Small Works Juried Art Show from Nov. 12, 2017 – Jan. 5, 2018. ART SHOW RECEPTION, NOV. 12th, 2pm-5pm. Free admission, refreshments and music.
CALL FOR ARTISTS: Open to all artists in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey. Painting, drawing, photography, collage, printmaking, ceramics and sculpture are all welcome. Artwork must not exceed 12” x 12”, including frame or base. Artwork weight limited to 25 lbs. If applicable, artwork must be framed and ready to hang.
Entry Fees: $30 for first 3 entries, $5.00 for each add’l entry (max. 5 entries total)

The Poughkeepsie Gateway Beautification Project calls for an artist to propose a design that will be painted on the underpass on Main Street, Poughkeepsie. The area painted will include two aprons directly under Rt. 9 on each side and a total of 12 columns (6 on each side of Main St). The most competitive designs will reflect the local Poughkeepsie community. Join us to learn more about the application, selection process and guidelines.

Radius 50 is open to artists living within a 50-mile radius of Woodstock, NY who, if chosen for the exhibition, can hand-deliver work to the Woodstock Artists Association & Museum, 28 Tinker Street, Woodstock, NY 12498 (more info)
All media are accepted. Works must not exceed 100 lbs.and 48” x 48” x 48”. Exceptions to size limits may be made at the discretion of the juror. Artists must supply their own pedestal (if needed)…

The Under-Recognized Artist Awards Program was created specifically to help struggling artists survive the process of establishing themselves in the art market and allow them to focus on their art.
The Pollock-Krasner Foundation generously provided seed funding to establish this program, which will provide five winning artists each with a $3000 cash award that can be used for art material and equipment expenses, or approved living expenses.

Main Street Arts offers one-month and two-month artist residencies. Resident artists have access to one of two 200 square foot studio spaces located on our second floor. Artists interested in becoming a part of the Main Street Arts community should follow the application process below for consideration.

Main Street Arts is a commercial art gallery in Clifton Springs, NY showcasing contemporary art and fine craft from Upstate New York artists and beyond. This 3,600 square foot space has two floors offering exhibitions, workshops, and an artist residency program. The residency program is in its first year and potential artists in residence are encouraged to apply!

OPEN CALL: This is an Open Call to NY Tri State Artists who are interested in winning a SOLO EXHIBITION at Gallery 66 NY, an award winning gallery in the Hudson Valley, NY.
We are looking to award a solo exhibition to a talented and deserving artist with a fully developed body of work. There is no limit to materials, styles or genre.
Artist MUST be present at opening and must be available to pick up any unsold work on July 2nd after 6 pm or on Monday, July 3rd. The exhibition will take place June 2017 at Gallery 66 NY. (more…)
