BeaconArts announces new Board members

BeaconArts, a non-profit organization whose mission since 2002 has been dedicated to the advancement of the City of  Beacon as an arts and cultural center, announced its new board members following the annual meeting and election held on January 22, 2013. Board officers including Vice President and Secretary, as well as three board members-at-large were elected, each for a two year term.“We are very pleased to welcome our new board members,” said Dan Rigney, President of BeaconArts. “Marist Communications Professor and Music PR professional Arien Rozelle further builds our already strong PR team, working at the core of our mission to promote Beacon as an arts and cultural destination. Artist and gallery owner Erica Hauser adds her voice for Beacon’s visual arts community and our Main Street Businesses. Truly, for me as President, this board is a dream team.” (more…)

Through a new Artist Residency program, Manitoga each year will invite artists to engage with the site to celebrate Manitoga as a place of great spirit and embrace Russel Wright’s legacy of creative experimentation. The Artist Residency program will explore the intersection of art, innovation, nature and education through a project/installation inspired by Manitoga and a culminating public event that enlivens the magical setting of Manitoga such as its central quarry pool and surrounding natural amphitheater.
