On Saturday, August 19th, the 2nd Annual MHLS High School Battle of the Books was held at Poughkeepsie Day School. Battle of the Book is a national Summer Reading Program for middle and high school students in the five-county region of the Mid-Hudson Library System. The Beacon team faced off against Beekman Library in the final battle and took home the first place banner which is now on display at the library.
Congratulations to Beekman (2nd Place) and Kingston (3rd Place).
Stay tuned, the Beacon Bees compete in the Middle School battle on September 16th!
