“Path Through History”
Looking for actors to portray the ghosts of the following historical figures:
Catheryna Rombout “Madam” Brett (any age – she lived until her 90’s) An incredible business woman, strong and independent
Alexander Hamilton (age 20 – 50)
Civil War Captain Abiel T. LaForge (age c. 30 years) A bright star, full of life, loved by everyone, self-educated and a big flirt. He was such a “gemini” that he talked all day (mostly to women) read books and talked all night, and talked in his diaries before bed! He was also a common man but made his way up to the top by gaining the respect of everyone he met.
Howland Librarian Nancy Lamont (age 40 – 65) A spunky, organized and career minded librarian. She dedicated her whole life to the library
Scripts will be available August 18. Each script will be 10 minutes long. There will be 3-4 tours per evening each day. We would like to have a few rehearsals prior. If you would like to participate with us, please contact Beacon Historical Society Trustee Robin Lucas at 845-590-6058 or email robin@nygroup.com. This tour, in and of itself, is a historical event for Beacon and I’m sure it will be fun for all who participate. We also plan on having a follow-up page to the tour with information and link, and will post a small photo and description for each person who gave us their time! Thank you!
