Composer Hayden Wayne will be celebrated in a cabaret-style performance of his extensive song catalogue. The ensemble includes Broadway veteran Kelly Ellenwood, and rising stars Michael Bonanno, Rowan Parsaca, and Leah Siegel. Wayne will be at the piano.

Wayne has been characterized as a composer of serious art music who came from a background of popular music through his performance with various bands, most notably, the ’70’s glam-rock and psychedelic pop band JOBRIATH. He has written over 400 works, including 10 symphonies, 10 string quartets, and 2 full-length operas. Jerry Dubins of Fanfare Magazine wrote “there is nothing that smacks of populist, commercial art. I would place Wayne very high among the ranks of major American symphonists.” His music has been heard in venues around the world, including the playlist on Air Force One during the Clinton Administration.

Tickets to the performance are $15, and are available at the door or at Brown Paper Tickets.
