Susan Sylvester DiGilio | @reMADE

On view through September 3rd

133 Main Street

Please join us at reMADE to celebrate the art of Beacon-native Susan Sylvester DiGilio!

“I am inspired by my surroundings, a bunch of flowers, a field of sheep, a vintage ledger book whose ancient linen paper takes to a colored pencil so well. And if you can see in my work, I love birds! Real and imagined they will find their way into quite a bit of my art. I love working with pen and ink, watercolors, colored pencils and acrylics. Although, my old favorite, oil colors are starting to call to me again. As the mother of two sons, I didn’t get the ‘playing with dolls’ out of my system so I will a few times a year create a doll or two. Using vintage fabrics and trims that I find at estate sales.”

Silent Auction Lots – To Be Announced

With Radius 50 WAAM is inaugurating an important new exhibition that we plan to make an annual highlight of our programming going forward. The name refers to the 50 mile area around Woodstock and the show is comprised of works by artists who live in the Mid-Hudson/Catskills region. My thanks to the 208 artists from 60 different localities who applied and to juror David A. Ross for doing such a great job jurying the show. (more info)
