The Under 40 Show. Deadline October 6; Woodstock Artists Association & Museum

Eligibility:
The Under 40 show is open to artists under the age of 40 who live within a 50- mile radius of Woodstock who can hand deliver and pick up accepted works of art. Artists are invited to submit works in all media, any subject for this juried exhibition.

All artists selected by the juror for this show will receive a free one year WAAM membership.   


Award:

The Harriet Livathinos/Rei Fraas Juror’s Choice Award ($100) 

 
 To Enter:
 

1. Submit 12 digital images on a
CD (PC compatible) or 
You may also submit via e-mail to carl@woodstockart.org.

- Digital images should be jpegs sized 5″ (1500 pixels) on the longest dimension at 300 dpi.

- Each image must be identified with artist’s last name, first name, and number (ie. SmithJane1) that correspond to a separate list (see 2 below).

- CDs should be clearly marked with artist’s full name and phone number.  

2. Submit a numbered list of images with title, date, medium, and size, along with your name and contact information. Numbers should correspond to numbered images (ie. number 1 should be SmithJane1, etc).
3. Include a resume and artist statement with your name on both.

4. If you would like your materials returned, include a SASE. The WAAM is not responsible for return of materials otherwise.

5. There is no submission fee.

6. Additional materials or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Juror:
Greg Slick, an artist and independent curator who deals with themes ranging from everyday observations of human nature to intellectual issues of global and historical significance. Slick works in photography, video and painting. A recent curatorial project was
The Illustrious Mr. X: Museum Collection as Character Study which he co-curated with Karlos Carcamo at
the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art, SUNY New Paltz, New Paltz, NY.

About Kelly Ellenwood

Kelly is a founding member of the indie-classical chamber ensemble Madera Vox (maderavox.org), based in Beacon, NY where Ms. Ellenwood, her husband Tim and their two young daughters make their home. Kelly is also currently the Vice President of BeaconArts.
