Spirit of Beacon Day – Sunday, Sept 30. Parade begins at 1:00 pm!
The 35th annual Spirit of Beacon Day Parade will be on September 30th, 2012. This parade down Main Street is filled with hundreds of Beaconites, either marching or watching, but all celebrating our beautiful city and its singular spirit.
Come check out the marching bands, fire trucks, and representatives from local schools and organizations. After the parade visit the many booths from non-profit community organizations, sample some of the local fine food, and stick around for sing-a-longs, dance performances, and other entertainment. There is an Award Ceremony following the parade for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place floats and the presentation of the Volunteer of the Year Award.
Please note this event is NOT rain or shine – in the event of rain the parade will be held on the rain date below.
When: Sunday, September 30, 2012 (Rain Date: October 7, 2012)
11 am – 4 pm — Parade begins at 1 pm.
Where: On Main Street from Wolcott Avenue (Rt. 9D) to Tioronda Avenue.
Booths and stages will be set up all along the parade route.
