COTA (Celebration of the Arts) a Fine and Performing Art Fair in New Paltz, NY is seeking artists of all media to participate in our October 9th event. COTA will be showcasing work from over 100 artists, selling their art directly to the public, offering some of the Hudson Valley’s finest, from pop art paintings to large- scale sculpture. There will also be a full roaster of musicians, dancers and performers, ranging from Rockabilly to a Shoe String Band and author/poetry readings as well as free sample dance classes throughout the day. Marion Royael Gallery "Open Call" for artists with Jazz related works for a 3 day exhibit, August 6-8th, 2010. Deadline for submissions is 7/25.
Marion Royael Gallery will select a few artists who present works which fit a Jazz related theme with a contemporary 'hip' look. Artwork will be installed August 5th and will be up through August 8th. A special "Call 'n' Response" event will be held on August 7th and will include an art installation, jazz related artwork (all media) and a live Fusion Jazz performance.
Marion Royael Gallery is located in the city of Beacon New York in the midst of a vibrant artistic community which boasts the Dia Beacon, many outstanding fine art galleries, www.beaconarts.org, top notch restaurants and a bevy of interesting and unique boutiques.

Juried Plein Air Paintout on Bannerman’s Island
Tuesday August 3, 2010 9am – 1 pm
Application Deadline, July 16
Bannerman Castle Trust is announcing a Call for Plein Air Artists to go paint on Bannerman’s Island. This is a juried event. And the application process will be fairly easy!
This is a very special event being arranged in conjunction with New Yorker Magazine. While we do not know how much of anyone's work or image of them working will actually be published, it is an opportunity to be exposed to a larger audience.
